BARN ON ECO-FARM

Voila, this is the abode of our cattle. Shortly after we decided to live permanently on a farm in the village of Velký Jidřichov, we embarked on the renewal of local traditions, care for the landscape and the establishment of our own small eco-farm with sheep, cows and horses. Organic farming allows two types of housing for agricultural animals, namely year-round housing on pasture or in a stable with free access to an outdoor enclosure.

If climatic conditions allow it, which is not a problem in our country, then pasture is clearly the best choice. However, the animals housed on the pasture all year round need to hide somewhere from time to time, not only from bad weather. So we designed a dwelling for them, our own version of the barn, an all-wood construction, including a shingled roof made of planks. Its implementation took only two weeks. It can snow, rain or blow as if for life, nothing beats it.
